Find your way along the cliff

Welcome to the wildest place to challenge rigid thinking. There’s room here for both scientists and mavericks.

You’ll need to go to Mexico to find the crater, but you’ll need to visit Stevns Klint to understand the drama. It is here that we have the world’s best evidence of the day when (almost) all life was wiped out.

At Stevns Klint Experience, we combine this grand drama with a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Start in our exhibition, where you’ll learn the story of how, 66 million years ago, the dinosaurs met their end.

Afterwards, the adventure continues out in the open air. Lace up your trainers for a 21-kilometre walk through stunning UNESCO-listed nature, with towering views from the lighthouse and the church, bustling harbour scenes and plenty of fresh air. You can buy plasters for blisters and water in our shop.

Expedition Fish Clay: INTO THE WILD

Leave the well-trodden paths behind and join us on a journey through the rugged terrain along the rocky beach. The Fish Clay is the reason Stevns Klint is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it’s well hidden from the untrained eye. Let your curiosity guide you on an intense journey back in time to the moment when the world changed forever. Opens July 6 - book your spot now.

Do you want to go where others don't go?

  • Varighed: Ca. 1 time.

  • Pris: Inkluderet i din entrébillet, men tilmelding er nødvendig (først-til-mølle).

  • Tidspunkter: Mandag–fredag kl. 12.30 (dansk) og kl. 14.00 (engelsk).

  • Afgang: Foran Stevns Klint Experience.

Carefully curated designs and cosmic karma from local artists.

Fyld din egen tidskapsel i vores butik.

About Impact Lab

What is a rhinoceros doing at Stevns Klint?

It takes a real workhorse of a guard to watch over one of the world’s most important natural history treasures. And that’s exactly what it’s doing now!

Right here at the gateway to the World Heritage Site itself—at Boesdalsvej 14 near Stevns Klint Experience—the spectacular installation “Nature Wavers” stands ready to sound the alarm and invite reflection. The enormous, 8.5-meter-tall rhinoceros was created by the Copenhagen Zoo and built like a giant game of Jenga.

It now stands side by side with the traces of past mass extinctions to remind us of nature’s vulnerability and the impact we’re having on the planet today.

The installation is free for everyone to experience through October 2026.
