It takes a real workhorse of a guard to watch over one of the world’s most important natural history treasures. And that’s exactly what it’s doing now!
Right here at the gateway to the World Heritage Site itself—at Boesdalsvej 14 near Stevns Klint Experience—the spectacular installation “Nature Wavers” stands ready to sound the alarm and invite reflection. The enormous, 8.5-meter-tall rhinoceros was created by the Copenhagen Zoo and built like a giant game of Jenga.
It now stands side by side with the traces of past mass extinctions to remind us of nature’s vulnerability and the impact we’re having on the planet today.
The installation is free for everyone to experience through October 2026.
