If you are a member of a council or working group, the information is also used to invite you to meetings and other relevant matters in this connection. For some members of councils and working groups, we also hold your postal address.

If you are a member of a council or act as an adviser to us, in some cases we have stored information about your title or educational background, as we need to be able to document formal participants and advisers.

Data is stored so that we can offer relevant courses, events and activities, as well as to send out newsletters.

Where is the data stored?

Data is stored on Microsoft OneDrive, to which only employees of Stevns Klint Experience ApS have access

Contact details are also automatically stored in the Mailchimp service when you choose to subscribe to the Stevns Klint newsletter.

Is data shared with others?

Data is stored in cloud solutions provided by IT solution providers for Stevns Klint Experience ApS.

When you register for courses, events and activities, as well as when you purchase tickets online via Billetexpressen, Billetexpressen stores your data.

How long is data stored?

Data is stored for as long as you are a member of the relevant groups and for up to 3 years thereafter.

Where relevant and appropriate, data is deleted automatically or manually at the end of each year.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletters at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each newsletter.

We collect the following data: Organisation, type/sector, contact person, email address, postal address and telephone number, as well as information regarding participation in courses, events and functions.

If you are a member of a council or working group, the information is also used to invite you to meetings and other relevant activities, as well as to send newsletters.

Data on participation in courses, events and activities is stored in accordance with the requirements for being a World Heritage partner, as well as to enable us to offer relevant courses, events and activities and to send newsletters.

3. How we use your information

We would like to ensure that you have the best possible understanding of our World Heritage work and the opportunities available, and that we can invite you to take part in the events, activities and offers,including ticket purchases and more at the visitor centre, that are relevant to you; that is why we use the information you have provided us with.

We therefore also share information about your use of our website with our social media partners, advertising partners and analytics partners, such as Microsoft, Facebook, Mailchimp and Google GA4.
Our partners may combine this data with other information you have provided to them or which they have collected from your other use of their services.

4. Who do we pass your information on to?

We may transfer your personal data to our business partners who process personal data on behalf of Stevns Klint Experience ApS in connection with the purposes described in this privacy policy.

This is always done in accordance with a written data processing agreement, which ensures that the processing is carried out in accordance with our instructions. Furthermore, we require our business partners to implement appropriate security measures to protect and delete your personal data within a reasonable time after they have completed their task.

The processing of personal data mostly takes place within the EU, but on occasion we use data processors or sub-processors who process personal data in a country outside the EU/EEA – a so-called third country.

We have put in place technical and organisational measures to protect your data against, for example, loss, as well as unauthorised alteration, disclosure or access to the data, including through data processing agreements and security procedures. We also have procedures in place for handling and reporting any incident that may affect the security of your personal data.

7. What rights do you have?

You have the following rights:

  • You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data
  • You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and to have the processing of your personal data restricted
  • If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Your withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to your withdrawal of consent
  • You have an unconditional right to object to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of direct marketing, including targeted marketing
  • You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format
  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority
