Bøgeskov Harbour – close to the forest and the beach
Bøgeskov Harbour is a small fishing and marina run by the Bøgeskov Harbour Association. In the past, the harbour was a shipping point for grain, vegetables and fish from Stevns – bound for the market squares in Køge and Copenhagen. Now there is a playground, a campfire site and a restaurant, Traktørstedet Gjorslev Bøgeskov.
The restaurant
From the restaurant, there is access to the beautiful Gjorslev Bøgeskov, which is home to a rich variety of birdlife, particularly in spring and autumn. It is also possible to enjoy a dip here – even with small children – as the beach is quite shallow.
