At Rødvig Harbour, you’ll find both fishing boats and pleasure craft. In summer, the harbour buzzes with life, with atmospheric eateries and lovely beaches. Breathe in the scent of tar from the old boatyard, and let the children have a go on the playground.
If you get off the train at the terminus of the Østbanen line, it’s just a few hundred metres’ walk to a fantastic sea view and Rødvig’s landmark, the flint kiln. The kiln is a symbol of the days when flint was fired and shipped to Copenhagen, where the Aluminia factory used it in the production of faience.
If you fancy exploring, you can visit the Rødvig Marine Engine Museum, pet a fish at the marina, take a trip on the pirate ship at the harbour playground, or simply stroll around and admire the boats whilst enjoying the lovely, peaceful atmosphere.
