Explore Stevns
- Hiking
The Stevns Trampesti trail is 21 kilometers long and follows the Stevns Klint all the way from Bøgeskoven Harbor to Rødvig. There are shelters along the way if you want to spend the night by the cliff, and there is free public transportation, so it’s easy to leave your car at one of the pick-up points (read more below). Other forms of transportation are not permitted on the trail, and dogs must be kept on a leash. You hike at your own risk.
- Cycling
Cycling isn’t allowed on the footpath along the cliff, but if you’re not into hiking boots, it’s the perfect way to get from one destination to the next. You’ll ride along small, charming country roads that, in many places, offer views of the Baltic Sea or the rolling countryside.
We’ve even made it easy for you to get around Stevns Klint—by bike. With the DonkeyRepublic app, you can rent a bike and quickly explore the country roads around Stevns Klint. Remember: We love bikes, but cycling on the walking trail is prohibited.

- Public Transportation
This year, public transportation is not provided by Andelsbussen, but by Klintebussen. Information about Klintebussen can be found here
The Klintebussen runs twice daily on the route Rødvig Harbor – Gjorslev Bøgeskov – Rødvig Harbor, making it easy to combine the bus ride with a walk along the Trampestien trail
The Klintebussen runs from June 27 to August 28 with two daily departures along Stevns Klint, stopping at all the major attractions along the way.
The bus is free. You can bring your bike, stroller, or wheelchair, which you’re responsible for storing in the bus’s luggage compartment. Dogs are also welcome, as long as they don’t disturb your fellow passengers.

Just give a wave—and they’ll stop and pick you up.
Please note that the bus cannot be booked for school transportation, unlike the former Andelsbus.

Here’s what to do when you’re out and about on the cliffs.
- Respect
Please respect residents, private property, and signage.
- Cycling
Cycling is not permitted along the cliff. The Stevns Trampesti trail may only be used on foot.
- Landslide
Watch out for landslides—both on the cliff and along the coast. The cliff is a constantly changing landscape, so be careful not to walk too close to the edge, as landslides occasionally occur.
- Dogs
Keep your dog on a leash—for the sake of wildlife.
- Drones
Flying drones is not permitted out of consideration for the peregrine falcon.
- Fish Soup
Do not dig in the fish mud, and never chip away at the cliff—the entire area is strictly protected. However, feel free to pick up anything you find lying loose on the beach.
